3BL: India's only FIBA and BFI recognised 3x3 league announces schedule for tryouts of Season 3

On Friday (Oct. 9), 3BL - India's only FIBA and BFI recognised 3x3 league - announced the schedule for the tryouts for Season 3.

"Tryouts will be held in two strategically chosen cities - Chandigarh & Hyderabad, to ensure maximum participation from different corners of India," Mr Rohit Bakshi, Commissioner (3BL) said. "Interested participants need to advance register themselves on the 3BL app, available for download on both Android and iOS."

Chandigarh's Sector 42 Sports Complex will host the tryouts on Oct. 16 and 17 while Loyola Academy in Hyderabad will host them the following weekend on Oct. 23 and 24.

"We have received a record number of registrations on the 3BL app, and are keen to select the best talent for the upcoming Season 3 of India's only FIBA & BFI recognized Pro Basketball League," Mr Yoshiya Kato, Chairman (3BL) added.

The announcement comes five months after the BFI officially recognised its association with 3BL, allowing national players to participate in the league and still be selected for the national team.

After losing the year 2020 to the COVID-19 pandemic, 3BL's Commissioner Rohit Bakshi announced that Season 3 was set to be conducted early in 2021. However, those plans were suspended following the horrific second wave of the pandemic in India during the summer.

The 3BL has already conducted two seasons, in 2018 and 2019 respectively, which has seen stars such as Amjyot SIngh participate.
