MVP's of Round 4 - Rajan Sharma and Amjyot Singh

After nearly a month of no action, India's only FIBA-recognised 3X3 league - the 3x3 Pro Basketball League Indian Sub-continent (3X3BL) was back at the Lovely Professional University campus in Jalandhar for Round 4 of Season 2.

This time around, the event was only distributed over Saturday and Sunday with only the two Men's Conferences taking the court.

Here's how the results panned out in the group stage of Conference A on Saturday:

Team 1  Score Team 2
Goa Snipers 19-17 Delhi Hoopers
Chennai Icon 14-21 Chandigarh Challengers
Bangalore Machas 17-21 Delhi Hoopers
Aizawl Legends 13-21 Chandigarh Challengers
Goa Snipers 22-11 Bangalore Machas
Chennai Icon 14-15 [OT] Aizawl Legends

With both Amjyot Singh and Dhruv Barman back in their ranks, the Chandigarh Challengers were ready to compete for the title once again.

After cruising through their two group stage games, they registered another easy win in the semifinals 21-10 against the Delhi Hoopers.

In the final, they faced-off against the defending champions in the Goa Snipers (beat the Aizawl Legends 21-15 in the other semifinal) but that didn't faze them as they eased to a 21-13 win for their third Conference A title.

Amjyot Singh took home his second Conference A MVP award after leading the team from the front in Round 4.

Here's how the results panned out in the group stage of Conference B:

Team 1 Score Team 2
Mumbai Heroes 18-21 Ahmedabad Wingers
Gurugram Masters 19-7 Hyderabad Ballers
Kolkata Warriors 21-10 Ahmedabad Wingers
Lucknow Ligers 15-17 Hyderabad Ballers
Mumbai Heroes 17-21 Kolkata Warriors
Gurugram Masters 22-9 Lucknow Ligers

If Conference A had a similar feel in regards to its winners and runners-up, Conference B had some surprise in store for the audience.

The reigning champs Mumbai Heroes, who were missing a key player in Rajveer Singh, were eliminated in the group stage, the first time this has occurred in season 2 of the 3BL.

However, the Gurugram Masters didn't disappoint. The star-studded team made it to their fourth-straight Conference final and second title after earlier winning in Round 2.

They made it to the final after breezing past the Ahmedabad Wingers 21-14. In the final, they beat Amritpal Singh and the Kolkata Warriors (beat Hyderabad Baller 21-16 in other semifinal) in close contest 21-18.

For his key contributions which included some clutch shots, Rajan Sharma was named the Round 4 Conference B MVP.
