The 70th edition of the Senior National Basketball Championship is set to tip-off today (21st of December) at the Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana, Punjab.
Late yesterday, the Basketball Federation of India announced the groups for the tournament:
The tournament, set to be played until the 28th of December, includes a total of 53 teams - 29 men and 24 women.
Punjab, the reigning champions in the Men's category, are slotted in Group A alongside Karnataka, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttarakhand. In the women's category, the reigning champions in the Indian Railways are grouped with Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Telangana.
