Anthony Davis put on a SHOW in New Orleans, pouring in a season-high 48 points to lead the Pelicans to a 114-112 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Davis was unstoppable all night, shooting a scorching 20-of-32 from the field, adding 17 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks to help the Pelicans snap their five-game losing streak, knocking down the go-ahead bucket late in the fourth to give his team the win.

With the Pelicans trailing with by one with 43.9 seconds remaining, Davis produced an old-fashioned three-point play, hitting a tough jumper and the ensuing free throw to put his team up 114-112.

The Mavs had a chance to win the game or tie it up late, inbounding the ball with four seconds left, but Dennis Smith Jr's runner couldn't beat the buzzer, rimming out regardless.

The Pelicans trailed by 11 points at half-time and as many as 15 in the second half, roaring back into the game behind Davis' dominant display and some CLUTCH shooting down the stretch, going 6-of-10 to close out the game, with Davis himself shooting 4-of-6.

Mavs rookie Luka Doncic added another impressive performance to his already riidculous rookie season, going toe-to-toe with Davis as he scored a career-high 34 points on 10-of-16 shooting, including 7-of-10 from the three-point line, including this nasty step back down the stretch.

Julius Randle added 22 points and 12 rebounds for New Orleans, while Jrue Holiday scored 18 points on the night.

For the Mavericks, Harrison Barnes finished with 21 points, while Dennis Smith Jr. recorded 14 points and four assists in his first game back after missing 10 of their last 11 games.
