The Golden State Warriors returned home to the Chase Center for the first time after a six-game road trip to face the Los Angeles Lakers in Andrew Wiggins' first game with the franchise.

Golden State made the game interesting into the fourth quarter, as the Lakers inability to put them away took this one all the way to the final minute to decide.

Ultimately, the Lakers picked up a 125-120 win. Here are some takeaways from San Francisco.

Warriors tribute to Kobe

After an extended trip away from home, the Warriors would be the last team to play at home since the tragic helicopter crash the took the life of Kobe and Gianna Bryant.

Pregame, a tribute video was played.

On the sideline, Steph Curry wore a No. 24 Kobe jersey, as he watched on, still yet to return from a lengthy absence after hand surgery.

As the seconds wound down, the Chase Center crowd chanted "Kobe" in a scene that has been prominant in all arenas around the Association.

Davis' Lakers close out game late

Coming into this one, you would think the Lakers would have liked their chances of getting Anthony Davis and LeBron James some early rest, but it wasn't to be, as the young Warriors refused to go away.

With 4:49 left in the game, James found Davis diving to the hoop for a dunk to give the Lakers a 114-105 lead.

That basket would be the first of seven straight Laker points for Davis, helping his team to close out the game despite appearing to be bothered by a leg ailment down the stretch.

As brave as the Warriors were, they simply didn't have an answer for the strength, size and athleticism of the Lakers big man, as he did what superstars do and shut the door on an unlikely upset.

Overall, Davis finished with 27 points and 20 rebounds, and the Lakers survived.

LeBron dagger

It was vintage.

Despite Davis scoring the above mentioned seven straight points, the Warriors still had the slightest flickering ray of hope....well, until LeBron ended that.

Sizing up his defender, James dribbled, dribbled, dribbled, and then pulled up from well beyond the arc on the left wing.

The shot hit nothing but net and the home crowd groaned and headed for the exits.

A familiar tale across the legendary career of LeBron.

James tallied 22 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists in total, in yet another monster night.

Wiggins Bay Area debut

Much maligned over the course of his career since being taken with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft.

After five and a half seasons and 442 regular season games with the Wolves, Wiggins would suit up for a different franchise for the first time.

Given a loud reception when introduced in the starting line up, you could clearly tell Wiggins was playing catch up with a group he has only just joined, as Steve Kerr was seen running him through sets on his whiteboard just second before tip.

Wiggins' first basket as a Warrior came with 3:52 left in the first quarter on a triple from the left corner.

Overall, he finished the night with an impressive 24 points, five steals, three assists and two rebounds as he continued to find his comfort zone within a new system.
