Trae Young celebrates Vince Carter's 'mind blowing' career with heartfelt message

On Thursday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the NBA has a plan to resume the 2019-20 season with 22 of the league's 30 teams.

One of the teams that isn't included in the league's plan is the Atlanta Hawks, who are currently more than eight games - the amount of regular season games each team will reportedly play leading up to the playoffs for seeding purposes - out of the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference. Not only does that mean their season is effectively over, it means Vince Carter has likely played the final game of his NBA career.

Following the news of the NBA's impending return, Hawks All-Star Trae Young took to Twitter to share the following message about the NBA legend.

Carter was the No. 5 pick in the 1998 NBA Draft. He started his career with the Toronto Raptors and went on to play with the New Jersey Nets, Orlando Magic, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings and Hawks. Carter was named the league's Rookie of the Year in 1998-99 and has eight All-Star appearances and two All-NBA selections to his name.

Basketball Reference gives Carter a 94.5 percent probability of making the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
