The Brooklyn Nets have announced that Kyrie Irving will not suit up against the Chicago Bulls due to a right shoulder impingement.

At this point, the severity of the injury is unknown, though Irving has been wearing tape on his shoulder for the last stretch of games.

Brooklyn has not gotten off to a good start in 2019-20, as it currently sits at 11th in the Eastern Conference standings with a 4-7 record, including a current three-game losing streak.

Irving, a six-time All-Star is pouring in a career-high 28.5 points per game, but is just 25-for-66 (37.9%) from the field during the losing streak, and 4-for-23 (17.4%) from beyond the arc.

The game against Chicago will conclude a five-game road trip for Brookyn. The Nets will then have one night off before hosting the Indiana Pacers to tip-off a three-game homestand.
