Anthony needed eight points to reach the milestone and made light work of it, tallying his eighth and ninth points at the free-throw line with 5:04 left in the first quarter.

He becomes just the 18th player to reach the mark, as he continues to close in on Kevin Garnett (26,071 points) for the 17th spot on the all-time scoring list.

Anthony has proven he can still score at a high level in the NBA after a year away from the league, averaging 16.3 points and 6.3 rebounds across 27 appearances with the Blazers this season.

The scoring average is his highest mark since 2017, which was his last season with the New York Knicks, and the last season he was named as an All-Star.

At current pace, Anthony would have to extend his career into an 18th season to become the 11th player in NBA history to top 27,000 points.
