Carmelo Anthony climbs to ninth on the NBA's all-time scoring list, passing Moses Malone

Carmelo Anthony continues to climb the NBA's all-time scoring charts.

The 37-year-old passed Moses Malone for ninth all-time, connecting on a 3-pointer in the third quarter against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Anthony, who is in his 19th season needed just 15 points to pass Malone (27,409) entering tonight's game and now has Shaquille O’Neal (28,596) within his sights for eighth on the all-time list. 


The Lakers forward was on fire in their 121-118 win over the Grizzlies — their first of the season — recording a team-high 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting and 6-of-8 from beyond the arc off the bench.
