The Portland Trail Blazers have officially locked up their backcourt after signing guard CJ McCollum to a three-year, $100 million extension, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

As Wojnarowski noted, McCollum's overall deal with the Blazers is now five years, $157 million. The new deal will start in the 2021-20 season.

McCollum is coming off of another solid season averaging 21.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. In the postseason, the six-year veteran took his game to another level averaging 24.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists on 44.0% from the field and 39.3% from beyond the arc.

His most notable performance of the season came on a massive stage in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals where McCollum scored 37 points to defeat the Denver Nuggets on the road and lead Portland to the Conference Finals.

The Trail Blazers have committed to their backcourt this offseason, signing All-NBA guard Damian Lillard to a four-year, $196 million extension earlier this summer. The tandem is now under contract until the 2025 season.
