Playing their fourth game of a brutal seven-game road trip, having already lost the first three games in OKC, Utah and Los Angeles (Clippers), the Brooklyn Nets were down by 25 points at the beginning of the final quarter in Sacramento.

Then their All-Star D'Angelo Russell took over.

The point guard scored 27 of his career-high 44 in the final quarter while also recording 12 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 steals on 17-of-33 shooting.

Despite all of Russell's heroics, with 5.9 seconds to go, the Nets were still tied with the Kings at 121 points.

Then, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, who failed to hand if off to Russell courtesy of De'Aaron Fox's sensational ball denial, drove into the lane and laid in the game-winner with only 0.8 seconds left.

The 28-point comeback win was the biggest comeback win in Nets' franchise history.

The team only had three other players in double figures with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson putting up an all-round statline of 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals on 6-of-7 shooting.

They outscored the Sacramento Kings 45-18 in the final quarter, registering the biggest fourth quarter in franchise history.

For the Kings, who suffered their fourth loss in the last five games, De'Aaron Fox contributed the most with 27 points and 9 assists while rookie Marvin Bagley III top-scored with 28 points on 12-of-15 shooting.

With the Miami Heat registering a win in their last two games, this victory was critical for the Nets to maintain their slim lead for the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.
