After sitting out the early portion of the season with knee and hamstring soreness, six-time All-Star, Blake Griffin is nearing a return to the court for the Detroit Pistons.

Griffin has been cleared by the team medical staff to participate in all basketball activity, with an NBA return now imminent.

Griffin is entering his second full season with the Pistons, on the back of 2018-19 campaign that saw the forward appear in 75 games, averaging 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists on 36 percent shooting from deep.

Plagued by injuries throughout his career, the 75 regular-season games were Griffin's highest total since the 2013-14 season, though he was forced to miss the first two games of the Pistons playoff series against Milwaukee with knee soreness.

Detroit is 4-5 on the season so far, as it looks to reach the postseason for just the third time in the past 11 years.
