Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell exited Saturday's Game 3 loss to the LA Clippers in the fourth quarter and did not return.

Mitchell went back to the Jazz locker room after an awkward layup with 7:06 remaining in the fourth quarter as they trailed 106-95, before quickly returned to the Jazz bench.

Following the final buzzer, the 24-year-old limped off the court with his right ankle heavily iced, telling reporters post-game that he was ok.

"I'm good," Mitchell said. "I felt like I was able to go back, [but] no need to risk it down 16-18 at that point, but I'll be fine."

"He's in good shape," Jazz head coach Quin Snyder said post-game. "He could have gone back into the game but at that point the lead had stretched.

"That was my decision to not put him back in, the game had gotten away at that point, but he's fine."

Mitchell missed the last 16 games of the regular season and Game 1 of their first-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies with a right ankle sprain.

He finished Game 3 with 30 points on 11-of-24 shooting and 5-of-9 from the 3-point line, adding five rebounds and four assists, with the Jazz now leading 2-1 after the Clippers closed out Game 3, 132-106.
