On Nov. 1 at Utsunomiya (Japan), the location of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Finals, FIBA announced the seedings and pools for the 40 teams (20 each gender) set to participate at the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in India in March 2020.
The city in India that will host the event early next year is yet to be announced.

Both Indian teams (Men and Women), who have received tournament berths by virtue of being the host nation for the event, were seeded in Group D.

As per an earlier press release by FIBA, the tournament will add six teams (three teams each gender) to the already eight qualified teams for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
