FIBA 3x3: Panaji 3BL bow out in group stage of the Main Draw at the Kaohsiung City Challenger

Over this past weekend (September 21-22), Panaji 3BL consisting of four Indian athletes participated in the FIBA 3x3 Kaohsiung City Challenger. 

The team consisted of players that had most recently competed in Round 4 Conference B of 3BL Season 2 - Palpreet Singh Brar, Lalrina Renthlei, Rajan Sharma and Arshdeep Singh.

Seeded 13th before the tournament and slotted in the qualifying draw A, the team won both their group games in the Qualifying Draw to qualify to Pool C of the Main Draw.

Panaji 3BL 21-17 Shinagawa

In Pool C of the Main Draw, they were grouped with third-seeded Edmonton (Canada) and sixth-seeded Pasig Chooks (Philippines):

The team fought hard in the group stage of the Main Draw but lost 11-21 to Edmonton and 9-21 to Pasig Chooks with a key injury to Palpreet Singh. However, before the injury, he did star in a highlight play: 

In the final standings of the tournament, Panaji 3BL finished 12th of the 16 teams participating.
