The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup continued with Day 2 of Second Round Play on Saturday.

It was a big day for Australia, France and the United States, as each team punched their ticket to the quarterfinals with big wins while the Czech Republic made things interesting with a big win over the Brazillian National Team.

Between the two games that came down to the final minutes and the two decisive outcomes, there was plenty of can't miss action in China.

We've got you covered with scores and highlights from each of the day's four Second Round games.

Australia 82, Dominican Republic 76

19 points and nine assists from San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills led the way for Australia, who became the first team of the day to secure its spot in the quarterfinals with a six-point win over the Dominican Republic.

Mills was one of four Aussies to finish in double figures as Chris Goulding added 15 points, Jock Landale finished with 13 points and Aron Baynes scored 10 points in the game. Andrew Bogut made his presence felt in all facets of the game as he scored eight points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assists.

Australia imposed its will by moving the ball as all 30 of its made field goals were assisted. Matthew Dellavedova did his part in spreading the wealth with seven assists while Joe Ingles dished out three assists of his own.

The Dominican Republic, who was led by 16 points from Eloy Vargas, has since been eliminated from advancing to the quarterfinal round.

Australia, who is now a perfect 4-0 in China, will take on the undefeated French National Team in the second game of Second Round.

Czech Republic 93, Brazil 71

Perhaps the biggest shock of the day came as the Czech Republic handed Brazil its first loss of the tournament in dominant fashion.

It all began and ended with Chicago Bulls guard Tomas Satoransky.

Satoransky flirted with a triple-double as he finished with a game-high 20 points to go along with nine assists, seven rebounds and three steals to deliver the Czech Republic its third-straight win.

In addition to Satoransky, centre Ondrej Balvin finished with a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double, centre Patrik Auda scored 14 points and forward Jaromir Bohacik finished with 12 points in the game.

Brazil, who was led by 12 points from Vitor Benite and 11 points apiece from former NBA players Marcelo Huertas and Leandro Barbosa, now faces a must-win situation on Monday against the United States after winning its first three games in China.

With a win over Greece on Monday, the Czech Republic could secure the final remaining spot in the quarterfinals.

France 78, Lithuania 75

It came down to the wire, but France would hold off a late rally from Lithuania to move to 4-0 in China and secure a spot in the quarterfinals.

The French National Team was led by 24 points (on 10-22 shooting) from Orlando Magic guard Evan Fournier.

Nando De Colo (21 points) and Nicolas Batum (12 points) were the only other two members of France's team to finish in double figures and Utah Jazz centre Rudy Gobert came close with nine points and eight rebounds in 23 minutes of action.

Jonas Valanciunas did all he could for Lithuania as he was the driving force behind the late-game rally and finished with 18 points and eight rebounds in the game. Down two with 30 seconds remaining in the game, the Grizzlies big man stepped to the line and knocked down the first of two free throws but the second was knocked off of the rim by Gobert, drawing the ire of the Lithuanian collective.

With Australia and France clinching the top two spots in this group, Lithuania cannot advance to the knockout quarterfinal stage.

United States 69, Greece 53

Team USA has secured its spot in the quarterfinals of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup with a 69-53 win over Giannis Antetokuonmpo and the Greek National Team.

Kemba Walker led the way for the Americans with a game-high 15 points (on 5-12 shooting) and six assists while Donovan Mitchell was the only other player for Team USA to finish in double figures with 10 points (on 4-10 shooting).

Giannis, who was the focal point of America's defence, matched Walker's game-high with 15 points (on 7-11 shooting) and added 13 rebounds but it ultimately wasn't enough to keep this one close.

Greece was held to just 21-for-66 (31.8%) shooting from the field and 7-for-27 (25.9%) shooting from beyond the arc as it was stymied by Team USA's defensive efforts.

Team USA, who is a perfect 4-0 in China, will advance to the quarterfinals while Greece must defeat the Czech Republic by at least 12 points on Monday while Team USA beats Brazil in order to advance.
