San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich added another record to his impressive resume, passing Pat Riley for fourth all-time for most coaching wins in the NBA.

Thanks to a 111-86 win over the Phoenix Suns, Popovich racked up his 1,211th career win, earning sole possession of fourth place, now trailing former Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan.

Bryn Forbes was the star of the show, putting up a career-high 24 points and 11 rebounds in the win, giving his coach plenty of credit post-game.

"I'm just blessed to be able to learn from one of the greatest ever," Forbes said via The San Antonio Express. "Not a lot of people get to say they've done that. It's huge for me to be a part of it."

Spurs veteran Patty Mills echoed those sentiments, heaping praise on his coach as the Spurs moved to 14-14 on the season.

"It's obviously an honor to be in this locker room and to be coached by him, and I think everyone feels that way, which is why we are trying to do the best we can to get done what he's asking from us," Mills said.

"It's trust in each other, it's the trust in him, it's the trust in the system, and we are slowly getting there. But I think I speak for everyone in saying that everyone feels honored to be in this position, to be in this locker room and to be coached by him."

"It's an awesome achievement to get to (fourth) all time. You almost pinch yourself at times when you step back and realize where you are and who is coaching you."

Popovich, who has won five NBA championships at the helm in San Antonio has been named Coach of the Year three times, with a remarkable 21 straight playoff appearances with the Spurs. He also boasts a .686 winning percentage in the regular season and .603 in the playoffs.
