Jalen Green: No. 2 overall pick in 2021 NBA Draft could miss remainder of Summer League with hamstring injury

Houston Rockets fans got a taste of what Jalen Green will bring to the table in 2021-22, but that's all they'll get for now.

Green suffered a hamstring injury as he was well on his way to another impressive performance on Thursday against the Toronto Raptors at the 2021 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft seemed to aggravate the injury in the second quarter. He left the game and would later return to the bench. Before the night's end, Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes reported that Green could be held out of the remainder of Summer League as a precaution.

According to ESPN's Tim MacMahon, the Rockets don't believe the injury to be significant and an MRI will be forthcoming to clarify things.

Green appeared in three Summer League games and put up averages of 20.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists while posting shooting splits of .514/.526/.929.

More to come.
