James Harden leads Houston Rockets to win over Los Angeles Lakers with 50-point triple-double

The Los Angeles Lakers won't forget about James Harden anytime soon.

In 35 minutes of action, the reigning MVP led the Houston Rockets to a commanding 126-111 victory over the Lakers on Friday with 50 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

Harden made some history in doing so.

Harden got to 50 points on 14-for-26 shooting from the field, 4-for-12 from 3-point range and 18-for-19 from the free throw line.

Harden got the game started with 13 points in the first quarter, two of which came on a huge dunk on Lakers centre JaVale McGee.

Harden then scored six points in the second quarter, 14 in the third and 17 in the fourth.

Harden iced the game with a huge 3-pointer over LeBron James, who did his best to will the Lakers to victory with 29 points, five rebounds and four assists.

With the win, the Rockets are now 13-14 on the season.

The Lakers, meanwhile, are 17-11.
