Jason Terry announced as head coach of G League's Grand Rapids Gold

The JET has once again landed in NBA circles.

Longtime NBA veteran Jason Terry has been announced as the head coach of the Grand Rapids Gold.

The Gold begin a new affiliation with the Denver Nuggets for the 2021-22 season, changing from their previous name of the Grand Rapids Drive and affiliation with the Detroit Pistons.

Terry spent the 2019-20 season as the assistant general manager with the G League's Texas Legends, before taking an assistant coaching role with the Arizona Wildcats for the 2020-21 season.

A 19-year veteran in the NBA, Terry was the Sixth Man of the Year in 2009 and a Champion with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. 

Averaging 13.4 points per game across 1410 appearances, Terry spent time with the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Houston Rockets and finally with the Milwaukee Bucks. His last game came during the 2017-18 season.
