A new chapter for Kevin Durant means a new number!

The two-time Finals MVP today announced on social media that he would be rocking the no. 7 for the Brooklyn Nets after wearing no. 35 for his entire NBA career to date.

Durant followed up the image of his fresh Nets jersey with another post via his company Thirty Five Ventures, detailing his decision to change from the number 35 which was "chosen to honor someone very near and dear" to him.

"35 took me and my family from Seat Pleasant, MD and showed us the world," Durant wrote. "But as I start this next chapter in my basketball life, the number I'll be wearing on my back is the number 7 next time you see me on the floor. One time Brooklyn."

Durant totalled 22,940 regular season points, two NBA champinships, two Finals MVP's, one regular season MVP, four scoring titles and 10 All-Star selections in the no.35.

What will the no. 7 bring?
