For the first time since Dec. 2, 2018, the New York Knicks won a game at home at the Madison Square Garden.

As the young squad stunned the San Antonio Spurs on Monday morning, the team snapped their 18-game home losing streak.

All the Knicks' promising youngsters got into the act with as many as six players scoring in double figures.

Recenty acquired Dennis Smith Jr. led the way with a double-double of 19 points, 13 assists, and 6 rebounds.

Other key contributors in the streak-snapping win were rookies Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson:

As a team, the Knicks shot 51.0% from the field on their 50 made field goals and shot 16-of-37 from three-point land. More importantly, they recorded only 7 turnovers in just their fifth home win of the season.

Emmanual Mudiay was the best scorer off the bench, registering 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting.

For the Spurs, this loss adds to the misery of their current Rodeo road trip. On the trip so far, including this defeat, the Spurs have lost six of seven and are yet to play the Nets in Brooklyn on the second night of a back-to-back.

In this game, San Antonio made just 6 3-pointers and shot 44.3% from the field on their 94 field goal attempts. DeMar DeRozan impressed with a team-high 32 points to go along with his 9 rebounds, and 4 assists on 12-of-22 shooting.

At one point in the third quarter, the Knicks were up by as many as 20 points. The Spurs made mulitple runs to cut the deficit but the young Knicks held on for the win.

The Knicks next host the Orlando Magic on Tuesday.
