Lance Stephenson, Jeremy Lin and Michael Beasley headline list of veterans set to play in upcoming G League season

The NBA G League season will see a host of familiar names take the court in the upcoming bubble set for Orlando's Disney campus.

The 2020/21 draft will take place on Monday, January 11, with 18 teams playing in the bubble, including the G League Ignite select team made up of top prospects including Jalen Green, Jonathan Kuminga and international prospects such as Kai Sotto (Philippines) and Princepal Singh (India).

Among the NBA veterans eligible for the draft, former Los Angeles Lakers duo Michael Beasley and Lance Stephenson have reportedly signed G League contracts for the upcoming season, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Former No. 2 overall pick Emeka Okafor, Justin Patton, Jacob Evans, Dzanan Musa, Admiral Schofield, Terrence Jones and Shabazz Muhammad will also be draft-eligible, per DraftExtpress' Johnathan Givony.

Players whose rights are not currently held by any NBA teams are eligible for the draft.

NBA champion Jeremy Lin, who was reportedly set to join the Golden State Warriors in the off-season, will sign with the Warriors' G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, per Charania.

Meanwhile, LiAngelo Ball, who's older brother Lonzo (New Orleans Pelicans) and younger brother LaMelo (Charlotte Hornets) are both in the NBA, has reportedly signed a contract to play in the bubble and will suit up for the Oklahoma City Blue, per Charania. Ball was with the Blue last season, signed a training camp deal with the Detroit Pistons this year, but was waived prior to the season.

Per Givony, notable players currently in the NBA free agent pool on the G League radar include Kenny Wooten, Antonio Blakeney, Tyler Ulis, Quincy Pondexter, Diamond Stone, Hollis Thompson, and Isaiah Briscoe.

The G League is expected to play a 12-to-15 game schedule, beginning Feb. 8, with the tentative playoff schedule from March 5-9.
