Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis sprained his right thumb in the team's preseason loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.

According to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell, Davis appeared to suffer the injury while going up for a block in the first quarter. He initially stayed in the game but soon left and never returned to action.

Davis will reportedly get his thumb tested tomorrow, when the Lakers return to Los Angeles from their preseason trip to China. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, initial exams showed no ligament damage.

Davis finished the game with six points on 2-for-7 shooting in 12 minutes of play. He's averaging 14.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists through three preseason games with the Lakers.

As Sean Deveney of Heavy noted, Davis has a history of suffering minor injuries. The Lakers can only hope his latest doesn't linger into the regular season, which is now less than two weeks away.

The Lakers play their next preseason game on Monday, when they host the new-look Golden State Warriors.
