The last time the Dallas Mavericks played the Charlotte Hornets, just over a week earlier in Dallas, it was a frustrating 19-point loss.

However, in the return leg in Charlotte, the Mavericks had more than one reason to celebrate as they cruised to a wire-to-wire victory that snapped the Hornets' four-game win streak.

Here's a quick look at all the positives from this game that the Dallas franchise can toast,  with the biggest, of course, being the play of their superstar Luka Doncic.

Doncic's historic all-rround showcase

The last time these two teams played, it was a game to forget for Doncic especially given his high standards. He finished with a stat line of 12 points, five assists, two rebounds on 4-of-10 shooting from the field including 0-of-5 from long range.

This time around, the young Slovenian sensation had a game for the ages.

Doncic and LeBron are two of only four players to set those benchmarks in those respective categories in a single game.

"The stat line was spectacular, but he played even better than that," Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle said postgame.

This game is the second instance in the last three games and the 11th overall in his career that Doncic has finished either one rebound or one assist shy of a triple-double. So, other than the fact that Carlisle has coached Doncic all of his career, it's safe to assume that he's right.

Doncic's four blocks are a career-high and he now leads the team in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks.

The return of Kristaps Porzingis

The long-awaited return of the Latvian center finally came.

In just 21 minutes, he finished with 16 points, four rebounds, and two blocks.

"I thought he played exceptionally well given the circumstances, and he’ll only get better from here," Carlisle said postgame.

Josh Green's best game yet

It's been a rough start to the season so far for the Mavericks' first-round pick - Josh Green. In the nine prior games, he only featured in seven and accumulated six points, nine rebounds, and two assists.

Picked 18th overall, this game was easily his best one yet.

In 18 minutes off the bench, he finished with five points, five rebounds, and an assist while finishing a team-high plus-minus of +17.

Rick Carlisle reaches historic landmark

The win was the 800th of Rick Carlisle's regular-season head coaching career.

Currently ranking 16th on the all-time winningest head coaches list, 519 of his 800 wins have come while coaching the Mavericks. He ranks third among active head coaches, only trailing Gregg Popovich and Doc Rivers.

He needs 33 more wins to climb to 15th all-time.
