Milwaukee Bucks stay in locker room before Game 5 against Orlando Magic

The Milwaukee Bucks have decided to boycott Game 5 of their first-round series with the Orlando Magic, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski added that the Bucks made the decision in wake of Jacob Blake, a Black man, being hospitalized after he was shot at seven times by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The Bucks never took to the court before the game for warmups. The Magic did, but they returned to the locker room shortly before the game was scheduled to tip-off.

When the buzzer sounded in the arena, neither team was on the court.

According to ESPN's Malika Andrews, "several high ranking league officials" were having conversations outside of the Bucks locker room.

The Bucks would become the first NBA team to boycott a playoff game to protest social injustice.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder are planning to boycott their game later today. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reported that the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers are "leaning toward boycotting" their game as well.

Jared Diamond of The Wall Street Journal has reported that the MLB's Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds have agreed to not play in their game that was slated for Wednesday.
