Game of the Night

On a night where close games were few and far between, an overtime contest in Charlotte between the Hornets and Celtics was the best of the bunch.

Boston dominated the extra period to run away with the 140-129 win, behind a 71 points between Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Leading 114-102 with six minutes to play in regulation, the Hornets were outscored 38-15 the rest of the night, with Brown scoring 11 of his 30 during that stretch.

Incredibly, Tatum tied things up at 122-122 with 1:11 to play in regulation, with neither team able to score down the stretch, as LaMelo Ball and Marcus Smart each missed go-ahead 3-point shots.

The Celtics found their groove in overtime to improve to 2-2 on the season, while the Hornets suffered their first loss and now sit 3-1.

Highlight of the Night

On a night where there were endless highlight reel dunks...this one was the best of the lot.

Miles Bridges is usually the one throwing down on his opponents but he found himself on the receiving end on this occasion. Jaylen Brown rose up and threw it down as Bridges tried to contest, putting the icing on the cake for the Boston Celtics in a wild overtime win in Charlotte.

Brown finished the night with 30 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals in the win.

Performance of the Night

Giannis Antetokounmpo appears to have hit the beginning of the regular season in good shape.

The Finals MVP delivered his best performance of the season so far in Indiana, finishing one assist shy of a triple-double with 30 points, 10 rebounds, nine dimes, one steal and two blocks in 36 minutes.

The shorthanded Bucks were without Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez, Donte DiVincenzo, Bobby Portis and Semi Ojeleye for the contest, with Antetokounmpo manning the big man duties with older brother Thanasis.

Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis each took turns trying to slow down Antetokounmpo, but they didn't have much luck as he finished 10-for-16 from 2-point range on the night and 10-for-13 from the free-throw line.

The Bucks are now 3-1 on the season after the completion of a three game road trip.
