Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett headline list of candidates eligible for 2020 Hall of Fame Class

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame today announced eligible candidates for the Class of 2020

Among the eight first-time nominees are none other than Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Chris Bosh who each became eligible for this class after retiring from the NBA in 2016.

Rounding out the list are Michael Finley, Shawn Marion, Tamika Catchings and Swin Cash.

The finalists from the North American and Women's Committee for the Class of 2020 will be announced during a press conference during NBA All-Star Weekend and is tentatively scheduled for Feb. 14 in Chicago, Ill.

The remainder of the Class of 2020 will be announced in its entirety in early April at an event in Atlanta, GA.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony will take place in Springfield, Mass. on August 29, 2020.
