The "NBA2K" series has tabbed its cover athletes for the 21st installment of the game.

Via its official Twitter account, the video game franchise announced that Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis will grace the cover of the standard edition of the game. It's Davis' second time as a 2K cover athlete, as he was one of three cover athletes for "NBA 2K16."

The "Legend Edition" will feature 13-time All-Star and three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade, who retired following the 2018-19 NBA season.

Wade tweeted "SHEESH! Incredibly honored to be on the cover of @NBA2K... Excited to watch this next generation compete! Meanwhile I'll be on the sticks!! Let's get it" in commemoration of the announcement.

In a 20 second trailer showing the first footage from the upcoming game, Wade and Davis are featured along with the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard and New Orleans Pelicans No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson.

In addition to the NBA stars featured, Las Vegas Aces star forward A'ja Wilson is shown as well, confirming that the WNBA will be a part of the 2K series for the first time.

League MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was the cover athlete on the standard edition of "NBA 2K19" while LeBron James was on the cover of the special 20th Anniversary edition.

NBA 2K20 is available for pre-order now and is slated for a Sept. 6 release.
