The 34th MTN DEW 3-Point Contest, part of the All-Saturday festivities at United Center in Chicago, is headlined by defending champion Joe Harris (Brooklyn Nets) and two All-Stars in Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers) and Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks).

The other five participants include - Buddy Hield (Sacramento Kings), Davis Bertans (Washington Wizards), Devonte' Graham (Charlotte Hornets), Duncan Robinson (Miami Heat), and Zach LaVine (Chicago Bulls).

All-Star Saturday Night will take place from 6:30 AM onwards on Sunday, Feb. 16. This year's 3-point contest is slightly different.

For the first time ever, the 3-point contest will feature two additional shots from the “MTN DEW Zone” – two locations positioned equidistant between the traditional racks at the top of the 3-point arc and the adjacent “wing” rack.

Each of the ball pedestals in the "MTN DEW Zone" is located 6 feet behind the traditional 3-point line and will hold a green ball, which counts for three points.

With the addition of those two balls, the total number of balls in a round increases to 27 from 25 while the total time in each round increase to 70 seconds from 60.

If LaVine were to win the competition, he would be the third time a Bulls player would win after Craig Hodges (3x - 1990, 1991, 1992) and Steve Kerr (1997).
