The NBA Christmas Day action is here, with five big games on deck across the Association, with the Milwaukee Bucks and Houston Rocket starting the day with victories.

The Milwaukee Bucks returned to the Christmas Day stage for the first time in 41 years and walked away with a comfortable win over the New York Knicks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 30 points and 14 rebounds, becoming the first Bucks player to have 30 points on Christmas Day since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1972.

James Harden put the Houston Rockets on his back, dropping 41 points to lead his squad to their seventh win from their past eight games.

Harden has now scored 30+ points in seven consecutive games for Houston.

Kyrie Irving went into takeover mode on Christmas Day, pouring in 40 points to lead the Celtics to a thrilling overtime victory.

Irving came up with clutch shot after clutch shot, sending the game into overtime, before draining back-to-back threes to snatch the W and give Celtics fans the Christmas present they were after.

Los Angeles Lakers 127 Golden State Warriors 101

The Los Angeles Lakers hung on to beat the Golden State Warriors on the road, despite LeBron James missing the fourth quarter with a groin injury.

James went to the locker room with 7:51 remaining in the third quarter with a groin strain, but with seven Lakers scoring in double figures, they found plenty of options to fill the void. He left the game with 17 points and 13 rebounds, with Ivica Zubac stepping up with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Rajon Rondo adding 15 points and 10 assists.

Utah Jazz 117 Portland Trail Blazers 96

The Utah Jazz turned up the heat on defence, led by a monster effort from Rudy Gobert, who finished with SEVEN blocks om Christmas Day. He added 18 points and 14 rebounds, with six other teammates scorng in double figures.
