NBA Finals 2019: Draymond Green on Drake's trash talk: 'I don't mind it. It's fun for me'

The Toronto Raptors Global Ambassador and superfan Drake has drawn some serious attention over the course of the NBA Playoffs.

The latest in the Drake saga includes an interaction with Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green following the Raptors' Game 1 win in the NBA Finals.

The two exchanged words after the final buzzer, but Green had no interest in entertaining what was described as a "scuffle" in his post-game press conference.

And to continue a trend from this entire postseason, Drake had some fun on his Instagram page to address the way things went down.

But once the dust settled and Green had a chance to sleep things off, he actually gave some praise to Drake and explained why he should be allowed to excessively cheer the way he has been on the sidelines of each home game.

"It is what it is. He a fan, he talk. It gets more attention because he's Drake," he stated in his media availability the day after the Warriors' Game 1 loss.

"So many people have complained about it, like, 'You don't let other fans do that.' Yeah, any other fan isn't Drake, so he should be able to do that. That's how the cookie crumbles."

Green continued to make sense of the whole situation: "He's worked his ass off to be who he is and when you do that you get a longer leash than others. There's so much talk, 'the NBA needs to...' No, they don't. He worked to be who he is, you should get more leash. I don't mind it. It's fun for me."

Drake's had his fair share of fun throughout this run - wearing a Dell Curry throwback Raptors jersey for Game 1 as a prime example - and it'll be exciting to see what he comes up with for Game 2.

I'm sure this will not be the last we see of interactions between Drake and the Warriors' players, but you have to tip your hat to Green for taking what some people and opposing players/coaches have seen as a negative and spinning it with a positive state of mind.

The Raptors and Warriors will take the court for Game 2 on Monday.
