Kevon Looney is going to "give it a go" in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr announced before the game.

Looney suffered a non-displaced first costal cartilage fracture in Golden State's Game 2 win against the Toronto Raptors following a collision with Kawhi Leonard. After undergoing an MRI, the Warriors announced that he would be out indefinitely, with ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski adding that there wasn't great optimism on a return this season.
Kerr explained that the Warriors have since gotten a second opinion on Looney's injury and determined that he was not at risk of doing further damage. According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, Looney was "lobbying hard" to play.
Looney is averaging 7.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in these playoffs. He's been Golden State's most consistent big man on both ends of the court, with the team's net rating improving by 5.3 points per 100 possessions with him in the lineup.
