NBA Finals 2021: Phoenix Suns forward Dario Saric exits Game 1 with right knee injury

Dario Saric's first NBA Finals game only lasted 2:24 minutes.

The Croatian appeared to have injured his right knee on an awkward landing while on his way to the hoop in the closing minutes of the first quarter. Right after the play, he was hobbling and returned to the locker room almost immediately to be evaluated.

Soon after, the team announced his status for the rest of the game.

When he exited the game, he had just the lone rebound to his name.

Despite posting numbers that are some distance off his career-highs, Saric has been invaluable for the Suns off the bench. A reserve in 46 of the 50 regular-season games in the 2020-21 season, the 6-10 forward averaged 8.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in just 17.4 minutes.
