NBA Finals to be live streamed in India for first time on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube

MUMBAI, May 30, 2019 - The National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced that the NBA Finals 2019 will be livestreamed to fans in India for the first time on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Beginning with Game 1 of the NBA Finals 2019 on Friday, May 31 at 6:30 a.m. GMT, all games featuring the Toronto Raptors and two-time defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors will be available to fans in India for free across the NBA accounts on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube with English commentary.

Along with live games on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, the NBA Finals will be broadcast live in India on SONY channels including SONY TEN 1, SONY TEN 3 and SONY ESPN. All games on SONY TEN 3 will be available with Hindi commentary. Throughout the regular season, SONY featured more than 300 live NBA games across their channels.

"Streaming this historic matchup on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, along with broadcasting the games across SONY, will deliver unprecedented access to the NBA Finals."

The NBA Finals 2019 marks the first time that the league's championship series will feature games played in Canada. The following is the complete NBA Finals schedule for games on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and SONY:

Game 1: Friday, May 31, 6:30 a.m. IST

Game 2: Monday, June 3, 5:30 a.m. IST

Game 3: Thursday, June 6, 6:30 a.m. IST

Game 4: Saturday, June 8, 6:30 a.m. IST

Game 5: Tuesday, June11, 6:30 a.m. IST*

Game 6: Friday, June 14, 6:30 a.m. IST*

Game 7: Monday, June 17, 5:30 a.m. IST*

In December 2018, the NBA announced The NBA India Games 2019, which will mark the first games the NBA has played in India and the first games staged in the country by a North American sports league. The Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings will play on Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5 at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai.
