Reports also indicate that Durant will join Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan in signing with the Nets. Brooklyn has become immediate winners of free agency, landing all three of their top targets.

Durant averaged 26.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.9 assists shooting 52.1% from the field and 35.3% from beyond the arc over 78 games this past season. He was in the midst of a remarkable postseason run - averaging 34.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists - when a calf injury in the Western Conference Semifinals sidelined him until The Finals.

The 10-time All-Star returned for Game 5 of The Finals after missing nine games. He scored 11 points in 11 minutes before suffering another injury to the same leg, sending him to the locker room.

Durant was diagnosed with a torn Achilles shortly thereafter and is expected to miss the entire 2019-2020 season.

He spent his past three seasons with the Golden State Warriors accumulating two NBA titles and two Finals MVPs during the team's historic run.

Players can negotiate agreements with teams on June 30 but contracts can't be officially signed until the new league year begins on July 6.
