Unrestricted free agent JJ Redick has reportedly agreed to join the New Orleans Pelicans, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal will reportedly pay Redick $26.5 million over two years.

In two seasons in Philly, the 35-year-old provided a strong veteran presence and some much-needed three-point shooting - two key needs for the young Pelicans roster alongside #1 pick Zion Williamson, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart.

Last season, Redick averaged a career-high 18.1 points per game on 44 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from the three-point line on eight attempts per game.

Players can negotiate agreements with teams on July 1st but contracts can't be officially signed until the new league year begins on July 7.
