The offseason continues for the Toronto Raptors.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reports that Toronto has reached an agreement with forward Stanley Johnson on a two-year deal worth $7.5 million. Per Charania, the second year of the deal is a player option.

This comes just hours after it was reported that 2019 NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard had reached an agreement to join the LA Clippers.

Johnson, who is just 23-years-old, was selected with the No. 8 overall pick by the Detroit Pistons in the 2015 NBA Draft. He spent the first 267 games of his career in Detroit before a trade deadline deal sent him to the New Orleans Pelicans.

He appeared in 66 games with the Pistons (48) and Pelicans (18) this past season, posting averages of 6.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Johnson showed flashes of excellence during his fourth NBA season, including a 19-point performance in a Pistons win over the Warriors and a season-high 22 points in a Detroit win over Atlanta.

Johnson stands to compete for minutes at small forward with OG Anunoby, who is entering his third NBA season.
