NBA, NBPA announce COVID-19 test results

On Friday, the NBA announced that 16 of the 302 players who have been tested for the coronavirus ahead of the resumption of the 2019-20 season tested positive.

"Any player who tested positive will remain in self-isolation until he satisfies public health protocols for discontinuing isolation and has been cleared by a physician," the NBA announced in a statement.

The NBA has a tentative start date of July 30 to resume the season at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The only team currently in Florida is the Toronto Raptors. Every other team is expected to arrive on a staggered basis on July 7, 8 or 9.

Players will be rested regularly for COVID-19 while they are in Orlando. There will also be daily temperature checks and symptom surveys.
