Sunday (AEDT) produced plenty of quality NBA action, with a massive 10-game slate, producing some marquee matchups bigger highlights.

Jimmy Butler called game, while Kemba exploded for 60 points

Jimmy Butler stood up down the stretch for the Philadelphia 76ers, coming up with two big plays to seal the win for Philly.

With the scores tied at 119-119, Butler produced huge block on Kemba Walker, saving the ball to set up his game-winning moment.

On the following posession, Butler pulled up for a dagger three-pointer with 0.3 seconds remaining to give Philly the win and spoil Kemba Walker's big night.


Walker exploded for a Hornets franchise-record 60 POINTS, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals, shooting a red-hot 21-of-34 from the field, going 6-of-14 from three.

Three-pointers, jump shots, layups....Kemba Walker gave the 76ers all of it, finding a variety of ways to pile on the points.

Magic snap Lakers' four-game win streak

The Los Angeles Lakers got their three-game road trip off to a slow start, going down to the Orlando Magic 130-117.

Coming off a great win against the Blazers at home on Thursday (AEDT), the Lakers struggled to keep pace with the Magic who outscored them 75-50 through the second and third quarters, to take control of the game.

LeBron James led the Lakers with 22 points, seven assists and four rebounds, while Brandon Ingram had 17 points. The rest of the other Lakers starters struggled on offence, with the second unit of Lance Stephenson (19 points), Josh Hart (13), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (10) and Svi Mykhailiuk (8) keeping the Lakers in the contest.

Nikola Vucevic was the star man for the Magic, with 36 points, 13 rebounds and two steals, while D.J. Augustine recorded 22 points and seven assists.

Mavericks hand Warriors third loss in four games

Don't look now, but the Dallas Mavericks have won four straight games.

Luka Doncic led the way with 24 points, nine rebounds and eight assists including two clutch free throws with seven seconds remaining to give the Mavs a four-point lead and put the game out of reach.

Doncic got things going for the Mavericks early on with 12 points in the first quarter. He had 14 at the half but Kevin Durant's 18 first-half points gave the Warriors a two-point lead going into halftime. Durant stayed hot with 11 points in the third quarter, bringing him to 29 points going into the final frame with a four-point lead. His ice cold fourth quarter (1-for-7 shooting) wasn't enough to get the job done for the Warriors, falling 112-109 to the Mavericks.

Harrison Barnes played his part with 23 points and DeAndre Jordan added a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to bring the Mavericks to 7-8 on the season. The Warriors have now lost three out of their last four games and are 12-5 on the season.

An intriguing stat to take away from Doncic's performance so far: the last two players with as many points, rebounds and assists as Doncic has through 15 career games – Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson.
