The curtain comes down on Steph Curry's incredible season, following the Golden State Warriors' 117-112 overtime loss to the Memphis Grizzlies in the Play-In Tournament.

The 2021 scoring champion left it all on the floor with a game-high 39 points, but it mattered for little as the Dubs just missed out on a playoff berth.

"Very tough way to end it with these last two games coming down to the wire and us giving it everything we had in the tank," Curry said post-game.

"Proud of every single person in the Oakland uniform tonight all season, from 15 wins last year to injuries and all that to what we made out of this year, [is] pretty damn impressive.

"It's a very tough way to go out, we would love to play on Sunday but you can't lose sight of the big picture in terms of where people had as at the beginning of the season, what we were dealt with, the injuries, youth inexperience, lineup changes all year, we're two fourth quarters away from being a seventh or eighth seed."

"I don't think there's any moral victories.. but we're definitely proud of ourselves."

Trailing by as many as 17 points in the first half and 10 with 3.5 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Warriors showed incredible fight to get back into the game, behind the heroics of their MVP Finalist, who put his team on his back down the stretch.

“Steph grew not only as a player but a leader this year," Draymond Green said post-game. "What I took away this year is how he grew as a leader.”

Tonight's loss means the Warriors miss the post-season for the second consecutive year — the first time they've missed out two years in a row since 2012, but with Klay Thompson and James Wiseman set to return next season, Curry departed with a message of confidence as he left the podium.

"You don't want to see us next year."
