In Game 1, the Golden State Warriors beat the LA Clippers by 17 points and they were headed toward an even bigger win midway through the third quarter of Game 2.

However, the visiting Clippers had other ideas.

Registering a historic Game 2 win on the road at the Oracle Arena, the Clippers have tied up the series courtesy of their 31-point comeback.

For more on Game 2, we have you covered with four key takeaways...

Clippers' record-breaking comeback

At 7:31 mark in the third quarter, after Kevin Durant completed an and-1 and the Warriors were up 94-63.

Over the next 19:31 minutes, the Clippers outscored the Warriors 72-37, registering the largest comeback win in NBA Playoff history.

Let alone the fact that it came against the two-time defending champions.

Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell lead the charge

Lou Williams finished the game with 36 points and 11 assists on 13-of-22 shooting, becoming the first player since Sam Cassell in 1995 to have 25 points and 10 assists off the bench in a playoff game.

More importantly, more than two-thirds of his contribution was part of the comeback.

In the Clippers' 72-37 run to end the game, Williams had scored 26 points and dished out 7 assists.

Through two games, Williams has scored 61 points and dished out 20 assists on 24-of-43 shooting (55.8%). His partner in crime and fellow reserve Montrezl Harrell also came to play.

Since the 7:31 mark in the third quarter, Harrell, who finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds on 9-of-9 shooting, recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds as part of the Clippers' comeback run.

Through two games, he's averaging 25.5 points and 7.5 rebounds on 20-of-24 shooting (83.3%).

KD's bizarre game and turnovers cost the Warriors

Given their early dominance in Game 2, the Warriors boasted some spectacular shooting splits - 53.3% from the field, 39.3% from beyond the arc and 40-of-45 from the free-throw line.

Yet, courtesy of the comeback, the Clippers simply made more shots and did so more efficiently - 56.5% from the field, 45.2% from beyond the arc and 25-of-31 from the free-throw line.

Over the course of Game 2, the Warriors committed 22 turnovers which, in turn, led to 34 points for the Clippers.

Nine of those 22 turnovers were committed by the reigning two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant. In 34 minutes of action, he recorded 21 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals but had one of the strangest games of his career.

His eight field goal attempts are the second-fewest in his playoff career. His nine turnovers are tied for the most in his playoff career and this was his playoff game being fouled out.

Looney steps up after Boogie's injury

The Warriors could be without DeMarcus Cousins for an extended period after the big man left the game in the first quarter with a quad injury.

Post-game, Steve Kerr confirmed that Cousins had suffered a "significant quad injury" and is set to undergo an MRI tomorrow. While it's unclear how long he will be sidelined for, Kerr indicated that he would be out for "a while".

In his absence, Kevon Looney and Andrew Bogut stepped up, with Looney recording a career-high 19 points on 6-of-6 shooting, adding five rebounds, while Bogut chipped in three points and nine rebounds on the night.

While the Warriors have options in the middle, losing Cousins for a big chunk of the playoffs will be tough.
