Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis was questionable for Game 4 with a knee sprain, but he left the game with a different injury.

Before the end of the first half, Davis took a tumble following a layup attempt. He didn't take the court to start the second half, and it was soon revealed that he had suffered a left groin strain and would not return.

Davis finished with six points (2-9 FG), four rebounds and three assists in 19 minutes of play.

Davis was quiet in Game 1, but he led the Lakers in scoring in both of their wins, posting 34 points and 10 rebounds in Game 2 and 34 points and 11 rebounds in Game 3.

The Phoenix Suns took advantage of the Lakers being without Davis in the second half of Game 4, outscoring them 27-15 in the third quarter to take control of the game. The Lakers made a late run led by LeBron James, but it wasn't quite enough to complete the comeback.

Tied at 2-2, the series returns to Phoenix for Game 5 on Tuesday, June 1 (ET).
