Lou Williams scored 15 of his game-high 29 points in the fourth quarter to help the LA Clippers beat the New York Knicks at the Madison Square Garden, winning their fifth straight game. He also had 7 assists and 2 steals in 32 minutes of action.

The Los Angeles franchise had five other players in double figures with key contributions coming from Danilo Gallinari (26 points, 8 rebounds) and Montrezl Harrell (24 points, 8-12 FG's).

On the other hand, for the Knicks, six players scored in double figures but they couldn't stop a late Clippers run that decided the game's outcome.

DeAndre Jordan, playing against his former team, recorded a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds to go along with 4 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks on 7-of-10 shooting. Emmanual Mudiay registered an all-around box score of 26 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds on 52.6% shooting, but it just wasn't enough for the Knicks to get the win.

In the attempt to have the highest seed possible, the Clippers have been red-hot since the break. They have won 12 of their 15 games since All-Star Weekend including the current stretch where they have won 10 of their last 11.

With neither the Oklahoma City Thunder or Utah Jazz set to play on this gameday, the Clippers are the sole owners of the fifth seed in the Western Conference.

They are currently in a close battle with the Thunder, Jazz and San Antonio Spurs for the last four seeds in the West.

According to tankathon.com, the franchise has the 11th toughest schedule in the league while the Spurs and the Jazz have the 2nd and 3rd easiest remaining schedule while the Thunder have the 7th toughest schedule remaining.
