Joel Embiid relishes these matchups with Hassan Whiteside and the Miami Heat and the Sixers big man was in his element today, exploding for 35 points and 18 rebounds in the 124-114 win.

Embiid made his living at the free throw line, connecting on 16-of-20 as the Heat racked up 30 fouls....big men Kelly Olynyk and Whiteside with five each.

JJ Redick added 25 points, while Ben Simmons finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists on the night, exploding for a flurry of fourth-quarter dunks to help seal the win.

With the win, the Sixers move to 9-6 on the season.

Ingles leads Jazz to third-straight

The Utah Jazz had already lost twice to the Memphis Grizzlies this season, making today's trip to FedEx Forum even more important.

On a night where the Jazz struggled to get their offence going, Joe Ingles led the charge, scoring 19 points in the 96-88 win, while Rudy Gobert added 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Memphis held a 43-40 lead at the half, before the Jazz piled on 34 points in the third quarter, closing the period on an 18-7 run.

Memphis closed the gap in the fourth to just two points, before the Jazz went on a 14-5 run in the final six minutes, with Gobert scoring eight points in the run to give the Jazz a double-digit lead.

Mike Conley led the Grizzlies with 24 points in their first home loss of the season.

Pelicans stun Raptors on the road

The high-flying Raptors came into today's game looking for their seventh win in a row, but Anthony Davis and the Pelicans had other ideas.

AD poured in 25 points and a season-high 20 rebounds in the 126-110, moving the Pelicans to 7-6 on the season.

Davis was a thorn in the Raptors' side all night, but he got plenty of help from his teammates, with E'Tuan Moore pouring in 30 points, Jrue Holiday added 29 points and 14 assists, while Julius Randle finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds, his fourth double-double of the season.

New Orleans out-muscled the Raptors in the paint, winning the rebound count 54-43, scoring 72 points in the paint to Toronto's 42.

While the Pelicans shot 54% from the floor in a strong offensive display, they zeroed in on the other end, limiting the Raptors' scoring weapons, with Kawhi Leonard finishing with 20 points (7-of-20 FG) and Kyle Lowry 4 points (1-of-9 FG) and 11 assists.

Pascal Siakam led the way with 22 points, while Serge Ibaka added 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Toronto remain at the top of the Eastern Conference at 12-2.

LeVert was stretchered off the court just before half-time after he landed awkwardly after attempting a block on Timberwolves' rookie Josh Okogie.

LeVert was enjoying a breakout season for the Nets, averaging career-highs in points (19), rebounds (4.2), steals (1.3) and minutes (30.8).
