Official team rosters announced for Season 1 of Street Ball League

Street ball League, India's first semi-professional 3-on-3 league, is an idea from the sibling duo of Rannvijay Singha and Harman Singha that's come to life.

The league boasts of 12 men's teams and four women's teams.

The owners of the teams in this league are celebrities from different walks of life like actor Esha Gupta, dancer and choreographer Melvin Louis, Sana Khan, comedian Gursimran Khamba, former Miss India Universe Simran Kaur Mundi, MTV VJs Varun Sood and Divya Aggarwal and few entrepreneurs with team names like Hot Steppers, Dunk Vipers, Flying Panther, Hoop Heads, Old School Ballers etc.

Over the past few days, the league released the rosters for all 16 teams (men and women).

Here's how the 12 men's team stack up after the auction on July 21st:

The highest bids in the men's auction was received by four players - Pradeep Singh (Melvin Louis's team Hot Steppers), Kshaunish Kapoor (Simran Mundi's Flying panthers), Paras Patil (Sana Khan's Face Spartans), and Sayyed Yousuf (Rohit Lokareddy's South side warriors).

As per the league's official release, Season 1 is set to tip-off near the end of September.

Street Ball League's initial tryouts were only announced for men but the response they received from the female ballers, prompted the league to hold a tryout for the women.

As per the league's official release, Carina Menezes of the Hot Steppers received the highest bids at the league's auction among women. She was followed up by Sanjana Pinto, who was bid for the Face Spartans, owned by Sana Khan.
