The Orlando Magic have issued an official statement in response to NBA playoff games scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26 being postponed (U.S. Time).

"Today we stand united with the NBA Office, the National Basketball Players Association, the Milwaukee Bucks and the rest of the league condemning bigotry, racial injustice and the unwarranted use of violence by police against people of colour."

The Magic were scheduled to play Game 5 of their first-round series with the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. The Bucks never took to the court before the game for warmups. The Magic did, but they returned to the locker room shortly before the game was scheduled to tip-off.

The Bucks became the first NBA team to boycott a playoff game to protest social injustice.

More to come on this developing story.
