Portland Trail Blazers' wing Rodney Hood tears his left Achilles tendon vs. the Los Angeles Lakers

In the final few minutes of the first quarter between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Portland Trail Blazers, Rodney Hood seemed to fall to the ground after grabbing a rebound.

He was carried off the floor to the locker room and later on, the team confirmed and shared details on Hood's injury:

Prior to this game, Hood averaged 11.5 points and 3.5 rebounds on 50.9% shooting from the field on the season.

While no official announcement was made on the timeline of his return, a torn Achilles takes somewhere around a year to return. Players across the league (former teammates or not) and even some teams sent him their prayers:
