CJ McCollum scored 23 of the Blazers' 40 fourth-quarter points as they cruised to a comfortable 21-point win in Los Angeles, snapping the Clippers' 5-game win streak in the process.

For the game, McCollum finished with 35 points on 12-of-21 shooting with 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Portland had two other starters in double figures - Damian Lillard (20 points, 12 assists) and Jusuf Nurkic (20 points, 12 rebounds) - as they began their short three-game road trip with a win.

The Clippers, who were playing without Danilo Gallinari, were once again led in contributions by their reserve duo of Montrezl Harrell (22 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks) and Lou Williams (18 points, 3 assists). On the second night of a back-to-back, the team seemed to run out of gas, getting outscored by 20 in the final quarter of the game.

The win brings the Blazers tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the fourth seed (the latter hold the tiebreaker) and just a game behind the Houston Rockets for the third seed. Meanwhile, for the Clippers, the loss drops them back to the 7th seed behind the San Antonio Spurs.
