According to The Athletic's Chris Kirschner, Trae Young will train with Kobe Bryant to work on his mid-range jumper.

He is reportedly set to do so after taking part in USA Basketball's training camp, which begins on Aug. 5, as a member of the Select Team.

Over the course of his rookie season, Young, as per NBA.com/stats, was shooting a better percentage from beyond the arc (32.4%) than he was from 16-24 feet (31.6%).

While the mid-range isn't the most popular shot to take in the current NBA, having it in his arsenal will certainly open up Young's offensive game.

That's not all.

As per Kirschner, Young already has few noticeable results to show off, especially his improved physique:

"The two have spent almost a month together already and another two to three weeks already have been planned for in August. As with [trainer Irv Roland], Young's maturation is the noticeable change Bazzell has seen, plus Bazzell said Young has gained 12 to 16 pounds this offseason. Just based on the eye test, Young's muscle mass certainly has improved from where he was at the end of the season."

With season averages of 19.1 points, 8.1 assists, and 3.7 rebounds on 41.8% shooting in 81 games, Young finished second behind Luka Doncic in the 2018-19 Rookie of the Year voting.

However, the Hawks' rookie had a spectacular second half of the season. Post the All-Star break, Young averaged 24.7 points, 9.2 assists, and 4.7 rebounds on 44.2% shooting from the field in 23 games.

In the offseason of 2018, workouts of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jayson Tatum with the Laker legend were well documented.

For Antetokounmpo, the 2018-19 season was the best of his career.

Averaging 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in 72 games, the Greek Freak led the Milwaukee Bucks to a league-best 60 wins and a Conference Finals appearance, the franchise's first since 2001.

With those numbers, Antetokounmpo was voted as the 2018-19 league MVP at the NBA Awards.

How will Young's 2019-20 season pan out after his workout with the Black Mamba?
